So fucking incredible. Thank god for the internet. Thank god for security cameras. This Utah dude just booking it out of his court hearing and launching himself over a railing is GOLD Jerry, gold!
My man had absolutely no idea where that railing led to. No idea what was below or how high up he was. All he saw was freedom and all he knew was whatever fate awaited him at the bottom was better than jail. Maybe he was hoping to kill himself. Maybe he actually thought he had a shot of making a clean break. Who knows. Hindsight is 20/20 and being on the 2nd floor and having 10 cops waiting for you at the bottom of your fall is not an ideal outcome, but for that brief moment of flight, he was free. Now he’s got a bruised up tailbone (and let me tell you those things are painful as hell) and he’s gotta sit waiting for his sentencing which probably just got a few more years tacked on. Oh well.
